I am so excited to share another wedding vendor for my new blog series to highlight some of my favorite vendors (and people!) in the wedding industry. I am so excited about the outpour of love and support from my friendors (vendor friends!) for this series. Not only are they supporting me, but I love showing off some of the best vendors in the industry! Today, I am highlighting a sweet wedding planner – Ashlie Muller! I have worked with Ashlie on MANY projects over the years, and each time it is amazing! She works with so many talented vendors and seeing her work her magic on couple’s wedding days is always a treat!
Tell me a little about yourself and your business!
I’m Ashlie, a wedding planner and designer in Atlanta. I am known to design an event by mixing modern and traditional styles together; while exceeding couples’ expectations.
My goal with each event is to create experiences rooted in hospitality, because while “entertaining seeks to impress; hospitality seeks to bless”.
What sets you apart from other wedding planners?
I am committed to doing everything with excellence, and exceeding my clients’ expectations. I take a more personable approach to planning, as couples have direct access to me, and each and every detail it thought of. In addition, I have 20 years of experience in the hospitality and events industry, and still enjoy it!
Why should I have you plan my wedding?
You should have a wedding planner that is just as excited about your wedding, as you are. I am genuinely happy for each of my couples. I try to make the planning experience fun and as stress-free as possible.
What is your favorite part of running a business?
I love being a small business owner, because I get to try out all the creative ideas, that are in my head. I get to create systems, make decisions, and make people happy!
What are some trends you’re seeing right now in weddings that you really like?
Color is coming back, and I’m too excited about it!
What words of wisdom do you have for 2025 and 2026 brides?
– Do your research on vendors you hire. Don’t just hire someone based on cost alone. If you want a truly unforgettable experience, with the months leading up to your wedding; hire vendors that you LOVE.
– If you like the dress, but no one else does; say yes to that dress anyhow. It’s your wedding, and you should feel excited to wear your dress on your wedding day.
What advice do you have for brides looking for planner?
Planners are worth their weight in gold. I don’t just say that because I am one, but rather because they will truly be your best friend throughout the planning process. Look for one that has a portfolio with design styles similar to yours. There are several to choose from, so make sure it’s a planner that has the knowledge and experience needed to make your wedding happen.
What are some common questions your brides ask you?
Will you be at my wedding all day? Yes, ALL day, and ALL night.
What should I do first? Create a budget. Your budget is going to be the deciding factor to many things.
What does a lead up to a wedding day look like at your business?
There are months and months of planning, and prep involved, before the wedding day arrives. On the actual day of the wedding, I gather up all my wedding tools, Wedding Day Emergency Case, ALL the things and get ready for a full day of work. It’s go time, for the waking up, until my head hits the pillow.
What’s your favorite part of a wedding day?
First Looks… oh those are the BEST! If you want to capture a man’s complete awe and love for his bride, have a first look.
What is the biggest challenge you face as a planner?
Conveying how highly important it is to hire a planner. We are more than just coordinators. We make your wedding day happen, we communicate every single detail with multiple vendors, and we genuinely care about you.
What type of exit do you like best?
Any exit that involves a vintage white Rolls Royce.
Favorite thing to do after a wedding?
Go home, take a shower, put on my compression socks, and go to bed.
What do you like to do for fun outside of your business?
I like to spend time with my one year old daughter and my husband of almost 10 years. I also enjoy reading, writing, and making our house a home.
