Emilee and Adam are the prime example of how bigger isn’t always better when it comes to your special day. When they originally started planning their wedding, they WERE planning the big celebration. However, as the day grew closer, they decided that they wanted a more intimate and personal wedding experience, and they cut their day down to the essentials. Everything about their day was perfect. I have never seen a more relaxed bride in my life! Read below to hear about their beautiful micro wedding!

The Beauty of Micro Weddings

Micro weddings, typically defined as gatherings of 20 guests or fewer, have surged in popularity for their simplicity and intimacy. Without the fuss of a large reception, couples can devote more time to meaningful connections and special moments. Fall, with its crisp air and colorful foliage, enhances this experience, making it feel even more special. Emilee and Adam only had their parents and grandparents in attendance – truly celebrating their love with those most close to them!

Choosing the Perfect Location

The first step in planning an intimate fall micro wedding is selecting a location that resonates with your love story. Emilee and Adam chose Koury Farms for their venue. While Koury Farms is perfect for big celebrations, it ended being exactly right for their small, intimate wedding. We had no shortage of options for backdrops for photos and we had plenty of time to schedule for ideal lighting time.

Crafting the Ceremony

The heart of a micro wedding is the ceremony itself. Without a reception, the focus shifts entirely to this pivotal moment. Couples can personalize their vows, perhaps writing their own or sharing stories that highlight their journey together. Consider incorporating meaningful rituals, like a unity ceremony or a special reading, to add depth and significance to the occasion. Emilee and Adam chose to do a unity candle, which was simple and a perfect unity ceremony for them!

Celebrating with Personal Touches

Without a formal reception, couples can still celebrate in unique ways. Emilee and Adam chose to incorporate their beloved dogs. They even got them dressed up and had them act as their ring bearer and flower girl! They were perfect additions.

Let Them Eat Cake!

Instead of a reception, Emilee and Adam decided to get a small cake from Publix and do a private cake cutting after their guests left. We borrowed the cutest cart from Koury Farms and their coordinator, Kristen, adorned the cart in their floral arrangements and arranged their cake. We were able to do their cake cutting on the patio behind the venue, which was quiet, private, and best of all, had the BEST light! It was such a sweet and special moment to witness.

In Conclusion

A fall micro wedding offers couples the chance to embrace simplicity and authenticity. With an emphasis on meaningful connections and personal touches, this approach creates a unique and memorable experience. As the vibrant leaves fall and the air turns crisp, there’s no better time to celebrate love in its most intimate form. If you’re considering a micro wedding, let the beauty of the season guide your plans—after all, love is what truly matters.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Soph!
