I am so excited to share another wedding vendor for this new blog series to highlight some of my favorite vendors (and people!) in the wedding industry. I am so excited about the outpour of love and support from my friendors (vendor friends!) for this blog series. Not only are they supporting me, but I love showing off some of the best vendors in the industry! Today, I’m highlighting one of my favorite and most-frequented venues: Koury Farms in Auburn, Georgia. I have known the owners, Scott and Glynis Callaway, since I was a child (literally – they were my Sunday School teachers!) and I honestly could not imagine better people to run a wedding venue. If you’re looking for an affordable, white barn venue that you can dress up or down – check out Koury Farms!
Tell me a little about yourself and your business!
Hello!! We are Glynis and Scott Callaway. We, along with our family, own and operate Koury Farms Weddings & Events. We are a wedding and event venue. We would love to meet you and show you around!!
How would you describe your venue?
Inspired by the French countryside, Koury Farms offers a beautiful vineyard, classic white barns, and an elegant bridal villa. You will find Koury Farms to be the charming & affordable venue you have been searching for. The view from our outdoor covered pavilion will take your breath away. With the capacity to host large parties (up to 200 guests) in climate-controlled comfort while also having the ability to keep a small party cozy, Koury Farms never ceases to amaze our guests.
What sets you apart from other wedding venues?
Our customer service and the fact that we really care for our couples is an important part of who we are. In addition, we have easy to understand pricing with no last-minute surprises!!
Why should I get married at your venue?
We are all about providing stunning and unique photographic locations for our couples.
What is your favorite part of your venue?
The outdoor covered ceremony pavilion!! Not only does it overlook the vineyards (gorgeous views) but also means that you can still get married outside should rain come.
What advice do you have for brides looking for a wedding venue?
We always get the standard questions like when does the farm open (9am) and when is the event over (11pm), do we need a police officer when serving alcohol (no), what is out maximum capacity (200 people), how many cars can we park (100 cars) and how big is the farm (5 acres). The fun questions we really like are: where can we go to do a first touch or look (so many options), what about a first look for the bride’s father (again, so many options), what are the best looks for send offs (probably sparklers or bubbles), how many décor items do we have (over 1200 items) and how can we setup the reception area (numerous options, we work with each couple to ensure their individual ideas are met).
What does a lead up to a wedding day look like at your venue?
We try to stay very active with our couples from the time they book until even after their wedding day. Each of our couples have different concerns or things that are important to them. We work with each couple to ensure that they are happy and well prepared for their wedding day long before it arrives. Each month we host prop & play and send out a monthly newsletter. About 30 prior to your wedding, we will send an email asking all the questions we need to make sure your day goes smoothly.
Do you have any favorite wedding trends currently? What are they?
So many to choose from!! Currently loving using round tables in a spiral type of shape and decorating each table a little differently.
What words of wisdom do you have for 2025 and 2026 brides?
Hire a wedding coordinator!! We promise this is money well spent!!
What do you like to do for fun outside of your business?
We love to travel and see new parts of our Country and the world. God has created so many wonderful places on our planet, and the history that goes with it is fun to learn.
Are there any updates or fun things happening at your venue soon?
We are constantly updating the venue and décor closet to provide our couples with the best possible experience!! On December 8th, 2024, we are hosting Shop the Barn @Koury Farms. Cone out and support local vendors, have some great food, and maybe even meet Santa!! If you happen to read this after 2024, great news, we host this every year!!
Tell me anything you want my readers to know!
We have two fundamental principles at Koury Farms: 1. We are here to service our couples. 2. We want our couples to be selfish about what they want in their wedding.
Thank you so much to Scott and Glynis for taking the time to answer some questions that my couples might want to know. Check out some venue photos I’ve taken recently below and contact them to set up your tour!!
