The Details

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of capturing Sarah Grace and Max’s engagement photos in Downtown Athens, Georgia! When planning out their engagement session, we set a date and chose locations almost a month in advance. In between Max’s work schedule and Sarah Grace starting teaching soon, we were prepared and ready to get these done for their save the dates!

The Weather

As Georgia weather would have it, it was scheduled to rain, no – STORM, all afternoon on the day we had scheduled. We watched the weather like hawks all day long. We finally saw a clearing in the time frame we had scheduled so we decided to chance it and if we got a little rain, it would make for some cool pictures. Not only did it not rain, we actually got some SUNSHINE at the beginning of the session! We were all in awe of how perfectly everything turned out. Even though it POURED on me on the drive home (and the drive there!), I couldn’t have asked for better weather during the session given the circumstances. I take that as a sign that these two were truly meant to be!

The Locations and The Couple

Sarah Grace and Max chose 2 locations in Athens – The Founders Garden at the University of Georgia and downtown Athens. I will forever be obsessed with these 2 locations – rain or shine! We started the session off in the Founders Garden with its lush greenery and beautiful backdrops. We then made our way over to downtown Athens with an outfit change and the photos we took there HAVE to be some of my favorites to date! Sarah Grace and Max have been together since high school (and have known each other since MIDDLE school!) so posing them was not hard to do. They are just so natural together and it really shows through their photos!

I had an awesome time getting to know them as individuals and as a couple. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding next year at White Fox Cottage!
