Nestled in the heart of Ball Ground, Georgia, the Ball Ground Botanical Garden offers a picturesque setting for capturing life’s most cherished moments. I had the privilege of capturing Savannah and Everett’s engagement photos 4 years ago, and I was honored they chose me to help announce the impending arrival of their twins. We chose the Ball Ground Botanical Garden for their pregnancy announcement session, with its lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and tranquil ambiance, which provided the perfect backdrop for this joyous occasion.
The Ball Ground Botanical Garden, located at 215 Valley Street, is a community treasure maintained by the Ball Ground Garden Club. Spanning three-quarters of an acre, the garden features a diverse array of native Georgia plants, trees, and shrubs. Notably, the Butterfly Garden, inspired by former First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s Butterfly Trail, adds a touch of whimsy and color to the landscape. This setting was ideal for this pregnancy announcement session, symbolizing new beginnings and the beauty of nature.
The photoshoot began about 2 hours before sunset, taking advantage of the soft evening light that bathed the garden in a golden hue. The couple posed amidst blooming daylilies and lavender, their smiles reflecting the excitement of their growing family. They decided to use their most recent ultrasound to emphasize the twin announcement.
The photographs from this special day serve as a timeless reminder of the couple’s journey and the community that supported them. The Ball Ground Botanical Garden, with its natural beauty and tranquil setting, provided the perfect canvas for this heartwarming announcement.
For those considering a unique location for a maternity or family photoshoot, the Ball Ground Botanical Garden offers a blend of natural beauty and community spirit, making it a memorable choice.
