We had an unusually nice April day for Emma and John Wayne’s spring engagement session in Athens, Georgia! I’m so glad they made the trip up to the Classic City, because these turned out so much better than we envisioned! Emma was worried that John Wayne wasn’t going to enjoy these photos (a common fear for brides), but by the end, I think we got him on board!
We began their beautiful spring engagement session at the State Botanical Gardens close to the University of North Georgia’s campus. Everything was in full bloom and the sun was shining! I don’t think we could have asked for better conditions. Afterward, we made our way to downtown Athens, Georgia towards sunset. The adorable pink, flowy dress Emma chose matched the soft light that came through downtown at sunset! We had so much fun with all the fun poses, walking around downtown for different backdrops, and hurrying while taking pictures in the middle of the crosswalk! Everything from the way they looked at each other to their outfit choices to the lighting was PERFECTION!
I absolutely cannot wait for their May 2025 wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Blacksmith Shop in Macon!
