A Garden Party Wedding at the Wildflower 301

December 14, 2023

Back in October, I had the privilege of attending a styled wedding hosted by Ruzin C Weddings. This shoot was everything that I hope to see trending in my own 2024 weddings: pastel colors, parasols, lace, everything that a garden party suggests! It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and the photos turned out incredible!

Venue

Nestled in the heart if downtown Greensboro, Georgia, The Wildflower 301 is such a beautiful and unique wedding venue. The historic white house is truly the perfect backdrop for any romantic wedding. Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens, and you’ll make your way up to the ceremony space. The arbor reminds me of a crown, and it is truly fitting. The ceremony site is surrounded by beautiful light, greenery, and flowers everywhere! There’s honestly not even a need to decorate much; The space is beautiful in and of itself! The reception space is equally as incredible. There is a spacious patio with unique, winding tree trunks splattered throughout that make you feel like you’re in a different world. The reception space is a clean, white slate, ready for you to decorate with whatever your tastes are! It is a true “light and airy” photographer’s dream!

Florals

The florals for this shoot were provided by Primavera Blooms. When this shoot was organized, we were promised florals that were out of this world, and let me tell you, she DELIVERED. These florals were unlike any I have ever seen. They were truly immaculate and encompassed the theme of the shoot perfectly. She created two different types of bouquets: one more simplistic and the other more full and “wild” and each were what dreams are made of!

Invitation Suite

The invitations and stationary were provided by Lindsey Ellen Paper Co. Both the invitation suite and the paper details that were included in the reception space were GORGEOUS. The light colors, the backgrounds, and the style were exactly what I would envision for a garden party styled wedding.

Dishware

The reception plates and glassware were provided by the Prissy Plate Company. I have collaborated with Valerie on many shoots and weddings prior to this one, and her vision (and inventory!) were no less incredible for this shoot than the others. Her style is amazing and every wedding and shoot she has done, she has completely nailed it. She always goes out of her way to make the reception tables incredible!

Cake

The cake was provided by Cake Envy and I have to say, I am obsessed. Gone are the days of perfect, crisp, 3-4 tier cakes with sparkles and flowers and in are the simplistic, vintage, cakes with no tiers. I have to say, I don’t hate this trend! The heart shaped cake with a simplistic “Just Married” message is seriously perfection.

Hair & Makeup

Hair and makeup was courtesy of Vigilante Cosmetics. They made Gracie and Bre (who are already stunning) look like gosh darn supermodels! They chose colors and hairstyles that flattered each “bride” and that makeup did not move ALL. DAY. They are incredible.

Dresses

Dresses were provided by Taylar Made Rentals and Dalliance Gown Rentals. Bre’s dress was from Taylar Made Rentals and I loved the simplicity of it. There was no “flair” or sparkles, just simple, low neck, A-line that Bre looked absolutely STUNNING in. Pair that dress with a lace veil and the long braid, it was the perfect mix of classic and modern.

Gracie’s dress was a gorgeous high/low that was SPARKLY. Not only that, but the skirt came off to make it the PERFECT reception dress! What?? This would be the absolute perfect dress for bride wanting a different look for ceremony and reception without having to buy 2 dresses! It was so unique and fun!

Design & Coordination

The planner for this incredible shoot was Lavender by Autumn. The day could not have gone more seamlessly and every little piece of this shoot was absolutely amazing. It was amazing to see it all come together and I can’t even imagine how amazing she is on an actual wedding day!

See below for some highlights from this incredible shoot!! I hope to be back here for a real wedding very very soon!
